Presbyterian Women of FUPC are excited to announce our fall small group opportunities! All women of the church and their friends are welcome. There are a variety of ways to be involved in Presbyterian Women. We hope to see you at one or more of our gatherings. If you need assistance contacting any of the contact people listed, please contact the church office.
Tuesday Evening Book Group
Our Tuesday evening book group will be reading and discussing Hope: A User’s Manual by MaryAnn McKibben Dana. We will be discussing “what hope is, what hope isn’t, and how to find it in hopeless times.” The book is available from Amazon and ChristianBooks. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:15 pm in members’ homes. We begin with fellowship and light snacks and our discussion begins around 7:00 pm.
Join us Tuesday, August 13, at 6:15 pm at the home of Diane Warren.
Questions? Please contact Katie Jackson.
Tuesday Morning Bible Study Group
The study for the Tuesday morning Bible Study Group will be Let Justice Roll Down: God’s Call to Care for Neighbors and All Creations by Patricia K. Tull. We will meet the second Tuesday of the month starting Sept 10 in the church’s library (zoom connection available). We gather for fellowship at 9:45 am and start the lesson with announcements and prayer at 10 am. After the lesson, a group of ladies usually go to lunch. Study guides are $12 each and will be available through Barbara Verdery on Sunday August 25, September 8 or at the circle meeting. For additional information, please contact Barbara Verdery.
Covenant Book Study Group
The Covenant Book Study Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 10:30 am in the Church Library. They read a variety of books and begin a new book every two or three months. In August, they plan to begin reading Speaking the Truth in Love – How to Be an Assertive Christian by Ruth N. Koch and Kenneth C Haugk. It is available on Amazon and through several used book sellers.
Join us August 27 at 10:30 am in the Church Library or on Zoom 1.
