During the Lenten Season this year, members and friends of FUPC are encouraged to wear special purple wristbands as a way to remember our faith. FUPC is providing the wristbands free of charge to anyone who wants to participate.

Because we were not able to meet in person for Ash Wednesday service, we could not impose ashes as is church tradition. Instead, we developed this idea of wristbands as a visual symbol we could wear throughout Lent.  The wristbands are silicon and say, “Take up your cross and follow me.” This famous Lenten scripture will be a powerful reminder to us throughout this strange Lenten season.

If you have not received a wristband, please make plans to swing by the church. There are plenty of wristbands available in a container just outside the Church Office!
