Fayetteville has a project called Community Meals which is supported by an interdenominational assortment of churches, including First United Presbyterian Church.
Members and friends of FUPC can sign up to plan, prep, cook, and deliver meals to either Trinity United Methodist Church (on Sunday nights) or 7-Hills Day Center (on Fridays).
According to Feeding America, Arkansas has 499,950 residents who are facing hunger – and 149,670 of them are children. Community Meals is one of the ways we can help to reduce hunger and food insecurity in Arkansas.
Barbara Verdery has more information about this project.
There is a Google Docs spreadsheet available for sign up. You can sign up for yourself, your family, or your small group.
