A major paradigm shift occurred in western culture and Christian history with the Renaissance and the Protestant Reformation of the early 16th century. Martin Luther’s role in this shift was pivotal.
Join us in exploring the broad outlines of the beliefs, worship patterns, and practices of Luther and the early Lutheran tradition, and how they continue to affect Christianity today. Specific readings on Luther’s life, and direct selections from his most influential works, will be recommended upon enrollment. The course will be offered completely via Zoom.
