In-Person, Outdoor Worship
Outdoor, in-person worship services take place at 8:30 a.m. each Sunday, weather permitting. They are held between Fellowship Hall and the Courtyard area outside the Sanctuary. During cold and inclement weather, these services are held in the Choir Room north of the Sanctuary.
What to Expect
Early services are shorter (30-40 minutes), lighter, and meditative. Masks are currently not required.
What about 11:00 am?
Our 11:00 service takes place in the Sanctuary and is livestreamed every Sunday for all who choose to worship from home. Visit our YouTube channel to see the recorded service at any time. We have two Spiritual Growth classes that meet by Zoom each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. plus one that currently meets only in person, in Witherspoon.
Please do not attend if
- you have had a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher within two days of the service.
- you have had a cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms typical of Covid-19.
- you have had known exposure to someone with Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
Please do not take risks with your own health or the health of others.
Physical safety
We provide carefully monitored, safe childcare for children. Children are also welcome to stay with you anywhere at church.
First School is the school for ages 2-5 on our campus. For safety reasons, some First School spaces for children are not open for public use. The church has a playground and your children are welcome to use it. Please supervise them and make sure they stay safe.
FUPC keeps our security system up to date and in good working order. Both First School and the church are currently working on installing security cameras for additional safety precautions.
What Is Our Common Purpose?
Whether we are worshiping God in-person outdoors or by livestream from home, we devote ourselves to practicing our faith, to showing God’s love, and to proclaiming and serving Christ, the Hope of our changing world.
