What to Expect
WHEN YOU ARRIVE
When you arrive at the church, feel free to park anywhere and come on into our Gathering Place. Help yourself to a hot beverage or water and light snacks. Our greeters will help you get comfortable in our worship space and answer any questions. While you wait for the service to begin, feel free to chat with those sitting near you or watch the announcements on the projection screens.
DURING THE SERVICE
The service lasts for around 50 minutes. Every week First Worship is designed to offer something relatable and relevant for all ages. It is a vibrant time to worship and praise God through music, preaching and prayer. The first Sunday of every month, communion is served.
AFTER WORSHIP
Once the service is over, our staff and volunteers would love to meet you and answer any questions you may have. At 10:00 AM, our Christian Education hour begins. During July and August, there will be an intergenerational time called THE GATHERING during the Christian Education Hour. Join us in the Gathering Place for food and opportunities for learning and community building.

What should I wear?
Casual attire – come as you are.
Where are you located?
First United Presbyterian Church is located on a hilltop near the intersection of Mission Blvd and Old Wire Rd in Fayetteville, AR. You can reach the church campus by turning from Old Wire Rd on to either Birwin Street or Calvin Street and driving up the hill.
Where should I park?
If you come up the hill via Birwin Street, you can take a right on to Knox Dr and park in one of the angled spaces to your left OR you can continue on Birwin and park in the parking lot to the left of the large bell.
If you come up the hill via Calvin St., you can park in the parking lot by the church office or continue around the back, where you will find lots of parking.
What about my kids?
Children of all ages are welcome in worship. Children and youth participate actively in our worship right along with adults. Sermons include stories and examples that help children and youth grow in faith. There are specially prepared activity packets available for children preschool age through 3rd grade. At the front of the sanctuary on the right-hand side, there is a special section designed for families to sit together. Kristi, who is one of the worship leaders is our Director of Christian Education and she oversees our Children’s Ministry and the Church Nursery.
Our nursery is staffed by childcare professionals in a safe and loving environment. Infants, toddlers, and Pre-K children enjoy a warm, welcoming space fully equipped with books, toys, music, and care essentials. Children hear Bible stories and participate in activities in a space designed for their curiosity and learning through play.
We also have a youth ministry. Amanda, who is one of the worship leaders is our Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry.
