Our pastor, Phil Butin, will be teaching a class for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) in Upper Witherspoon Activity Center on February 10, 17, and 24 from 1:30-3:30 on “Basic Christian Beliefs According to the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.”
“Basic Christian Beliefs According to the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds”
Course Description: Various Christian traditions too often focus on how we differ, rather than on what we have in common. The Apostles’ and Nicene creeds, forged in the first few centuries of the early church, provide a shared center that can help us all focus on our common ground. In this three-week class, we will think and share together about the convictions that unite all Christians, using the creeds as our guide.
